loving being a photographer on Fanø

Life doesn’t get much better!

By profession I am a retail designer, I work on beautiful shops for the likes of Chanel, La Prairie and Jo Malone to name a few. I love my work, but i wanted to do something that got me away from my screens. Photography has been a passion for years, and a few years ago I got the opportunity to take some photos for a wedding couple on the island. It was a fantastic experience, and such a privilege to be a part of someones special day, and to help them capture their memories.

My photography style leans towards the photojournalistic rather than the traditional. Some of the best photos I have taken are with a zoom, away from the happy couple while they are enjoying their day almost unaware that they are being photographed. The images produced are very natural, and really capture the essence of the day.

I fell in love with Fanø in 2005 after holidaying here, and moved here in 2008 for a more relaxed pace of life after having worked in London for many years.

Fanø has a dramatic, sometimes harsh, landscape, but one that is undeniably beautiful. I live here with my wife, 2 children, dog, fish, 3 guineau pigs,2 cats, and the chickens.
